Our last couple of winters have showed us how cold it can really get.  This winter we are holding our Winter Hands competition.Any object that can warm up your hands can enter, whether its felted gloves, a knitted scarf with pockets, a crochet hand muff, a ceramic mug that you can curl around or even a solar power hand heater…….design and make something that warms up your hands for the winter months….and be part of this year’s hottest competition!

Well that time has come for you all to view the tea cosies and of course get voting for your very favorite! Check out the website here , there are 3 galleries of teacosies Modern,  Traditional and Under 14’s.

So much effort and time has gone in to each one and we were a bit over whelmed by them all.  They are all so creative in their own way and thankfully the voting won’t be up to us ourselves so do get voting, Voting ends on Saturday the 19th May at midnight. MADEby design, a new craft community, is inviting proposals for its
Christmas Popup Shop 2011 at Mad Art Gallery, 56 Lower Gardiner
Street, Dublin 1. We are looking to showcase the best in new design,
cottage industries and quirky ideas. Be you artist, designer or
constant crafter, we would like to see your work.

We will start the pop up shop the week commencing 5th Dec- to
coincide with the busiest shopping days of the year, of course! We will also
do an open evening, run workshops and social nights to optimize the footfall past
your product. Depending on how the first week goes, we have the opportunity
to extend our stay for an extra week. We are open to all ideas but to give you an
idea we would ideally stock prints, ceramics, jewelry, clothing, soft furnishings, etc. Original works made by hand, made by you and with a truly original slant.

We would ask that you submit photos, rough ideas of the quantities and
dimensions (as space could be an issue) and a short paragraph about you. If selected we would ask for €60 to cover our costs and we will happily sell
and promote your pieces without taking commission. We will be manning the shop from 11am-8pm every day that week and we wont ask you to cover any hours in the shop. (We would be delighted if you’d like to come in and hang out/engage with the customers/bring cake, though!)

We welcome all esquires as we realize the nature of this venture is in your own designs’ individuality. If you have any questions though, please do get in touch.

Design shed Ireland house all things creative under one roof. We can showcase up to 16 artists and crafts people at one time. Currently we have photography, design, handmade jewellery, knitting and stitching, painting, glass painting and beanbags.We would like to invite you all to our official opening night on friday at 7pm.

About us

Flutterbuy Art was formed in May 2011, The group is made up of both past and present students of VTOS, Athy. The Members are Nicky Boyce, Demelza Day, Ciara Pereira and Declan and Anna-Marie Molloy.

Our aim is to take the mystery out of art, by giving everyone access to the world of art; hence our exhibitions are free to view.

The exhibition will showcase works by all the members who have very different styles using many different mediums and supports. At least one of the artists will be present at the exhibition at all times, so come along and ask all the questions you want. Find out how to develop your hidden potential, which we believe is in everyone.

Art should be fun and stress free, for both artists and viewers alike.
