Creative Weaving.. 2 Day Course

Saturday 14th November and Saturday 21st November, 10.30am to 3 pm

Course Fee: E 50 plus E 3 euro materials. Limited Places.

This workshop is designed for you by artist Jane Dunn to create your own unique woven art work with simple but effective techniques using an exciting variety of coloured wools and unusual textures. During the course you will warp up a small tapestry loom, weave a textured piece of art and finish off so you can hang it in your home.

Looms will be provided, with wools and materials for a small fee of 3 Euros each, but do bring any fabrics, wools, trimmings, tassels, ribbons, wrapping papers, etc., of your own as well that you would like to use in your weaving, also scissors and a tapestry needle.

Music in the Community with John Hoban

This is a social evening of music and song with John Hoban, a well known local musician, singer and songwriter. John has experience of teaching and working with local community groups worldwide. All ages are welcome so come along to sing a song, play a tune or to listen and enjoy – feel free to bring musical instruments. This project is funded by the Arts Office Mayo County Council and Mayo VEC.
