When teaching Jewellery making I jump straight in the deep end. There are many lovely beading techniques but I go beyond beading using Sterling silver wire to make professional shop finished Jewellery that has value and quality . When teaching jewellery making I go straight to Silver wire and Gemstones or Pearls. It is the higher end jewellery I prefer to work with since you will put hours into the work so it should be worth looking after and enjoying for many years to come.
Refreshments and all materails are supplied.

Crafters and Artists Support Group.
Thursday 19th May is the first Support Group meeting.
Open to Craft people and Artists starting out or been around for a while!
I ran feedback meetings for artists and Crafts people of all standards and experience and they were hugely successful. This is just resurrecting the idea as it is greatly needed when you are starting out and could do with tips and information about suppliers, where to sell and the best techniques for getting out there!
Also when you are a craft person or Artist you can become a bit isolated when you work for yourself so it is also great to meet others that are on the same creative path as you.
These meetings will all have a section where we will cover a topic such as website advertising, pricing your work, branding yourself and your product, selling skills, applying to shops and galleries, setting up markets or fairs.
Also if you are interested in grouping together with others to run exhibitions and fairs then this is a great opportunity to get to know who you are dealing with and ensure your work is complimenting each other’s and not in competition.
These meetings are open to everyone and cost 10 euro. Refreshments provided (The tea break is where the great connections are made!)
Mentoring
There is a workshop coming up on Sunday 22nd of May. All information regarding this workshop is on www.craftmentoring.com
Whether you are staring your own craft business or going out selling your art work, it is always good to have a plan, an efficient system and good direction to get you where you want to go.
Throughout this workshop every area of a business is covered, and each person will get an analyses before the day so every area is relevant to your business.
Being a craft person myself and having a gallery and craft shop then running Ben Dunne’s Art gallery and Auctions, means the wealth of information I have gathered is invaluable, and always a pleasure to pass on.
This Mentoring Workshop cost 80 Euro, and is being held in Bewleys Hotel in Leopardstown, Dublin 18
If you are interested or know someone that would benefit from this, get in touch so we can get the process started.
This is a blue moon newsletter; you will not be flooded with The Creative Space updates!
Have an inspiring Day!
Karen
