8 week Jewellery Making Course.

This is an 8 week jewellery making course, carefully designed to accommodate students of all levels, from beginners to those who wish to brush up their old techniques and discover what products are new to the market.
The course covers 22 projects for you to make and bring home, including necklaces, earrings, bracelets and accessories. Various techniques are also demonstrated including wirework and spiral drop bracelet. We supply all materials and each student has a dedicated work station with all necessary tools. Great fun and exceptional value.

The courses are held at 12 Lower Liffey Street (second floor), one evening a week from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. for 8 weeks. The tutor will be on the premises from 7.10 p.m. onwards.

The fee is €250.00 with a €75.00 non- refundable deposit to secure your place. The balance must be paid prior to the first night.

Multi Media Necklace (Incorporating Wire Mesh)
This original design, created by tutor Stacey Neilson, has been published in the best-selling magazines Beadwork and Bead style. Learn from her the many intricacies of this exceptional material.

Coiling Wire Work
Have fun with this unusual technique using a Coiling Gizmo to make great jewellery and accessories. We use a variety of wires to create unique earrings and a necklace.

Monday 25th February 2008, 7.00 pm to 9.30 pm

Netting & Chips
Incorporating gemstone chips, this necklace looks complicated and expensive, but is surprisingly easy to create. Once you’ve learned this adaptation of Vertical Netting you’ll be hooked and making one for everyone.

Organza Necklace
This unique design has been featured in many American publications and the technique is available for you to learn from the original designer, Stacey Neilson. It is a delicate and versatile jewellery piece.

The workshop fee is €25.00 excluding materials and is payable in advance. Sixteen students only. These classes fill up quickly so book early.

+Daytime Workshops 2008+

This course is focused on giving a comprehensive understanding of a variety of popular bead weaving and other techniques, but it is also possible to take any one of the modules separately. So, pick a few of your favourite techniques or join up for the full 8 weeks at a reduced cost. To develop artistic flair, students are encouraged to purchase their own materials, though it is possible to purchase a kit. Please give plenty of notice if you wish to avail of this option as kits takes time to assemble.
